JEF-Europe is looking for a Project Manager (Office based in Brussels)
It is a full-time work position for a period of 15 months at the European Secretariat in Brussels aiming at the coordination of the youth information project Europe@myDesk.
Function description:
- coordination and implementation of a project involving 20 information and training events for young people and youth workers all over Europe (including preparatory and follow-up meetings)
- coordination of a pool of trainers involved in the project and occasional training activities during the events;
- communication with the involved local partner organizations;
- organisation of seminars and other campaign activities;
- involvement in the financial management of the project;
- support to the international and local fundraising activities;
- final reporting of the project.
Preferred experience and qualification:
- extensive experience in NGO activities, youth training and project management;
- strong interest for issues related to the European integration process;
- written and spoken fluency in English is a precondition;
- outstanding communication and training skills;
- good knowledge of editing and publishing software and commitment for improvement;
- good experience with financial project management;
- good experience with project and financial reporting.
JEF-Europe offers an interesting position in an international environment, a relaxed working atmosphere and a high degree of independence in day-to-day work. The project manager should have initiative, personal commitment, and experience in youth organizations.
Extensive travelling and occasional weekend work is required. The new project manager should start in the JEF-Europe Brussels' Secretariat in March 2008 (flexible) for a period of fifteen months. Competitive compensation offered.
